Qualifying duels | Stepping up to a full season undefeated

Max Verstappen and George Russell still have the maximum score when it comes to qualifying in 2020. Until now, both men have managed to set a faster time every Saturday compared to their teammates. Kevin Magnussen and Lando Norris managed to even the score at Istanbul Park.

Verstappen and Russell are both 14-0 ahead of Alexander Albon and Nicholas Latifi respectively. Albon had to concede more than two seconds to the time of Verstappen, while Latifi completely blamed himself by setting a time of 2:21.611.

Another one who is very far ahead is Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian set the fifth-fastest time and was about seven-tenths faster than Esteban Ocon. Pierre Gasly saw Daniil Kvyat stranded in Q1 and brought his score to 12 to 2. The Lando Norris-Carlos Sainz and Kevin Magnussen-Romain Grosjean duels are now 7-7 with three qualifying sessions to go this year.
