Hamilton is fed up with the slippy asphalt: "Sh*t with a capital S"

This weekend is the first chance to drive at the Istanbul Park circuit. A circuit that is somewhat considered a modern classic and is widely regarded as Hermann Tilke's best work. Almost all drivers were looking forward to this, but the reality is disappointing.

That is because it has been resurfaced especially for this Grand Prix and it has been barley used this. This new layer offers no grip at all, so that the corners that normally become an exciting experience, now mainly cause frustration.

Istanbul has the same problem as Portimao

Lewis Hamilton was blunt with Will Buxton after the race. His first experience on this track since 2011, he called "scary" and "Sh*t with a capital S". The car is constantly breaking out and it's a challenge to get heat into the tyres.

He will certainly not be the only driver to complain about this and it is not the first time this season that they have been affected. They also faced this problem in Portimao. Max Verstappen then said that it somewhat ruined his pleasure in what is otherwise a spectacular job.
