Ocon falls out with the same problem as Ricciardo: ''This is unacceptable''

Esteban Ocon dropped out at the Styrian Grand Prix after Daniel Ricciardo had already dropped out at the Austrian Grand Prix. However, what turns out after the race? Both drivers had to deal with the same problem.

''It's enormously frustrating," says Marcin Budkowski of Renault after the race against Motorsport-total.com. After a cooling problem for Ricciardo in the first round of the Red Bull Ring, Ocon got into trouble because of a part that is not even made by Renault itself.

Renault encounters the same problem

"It's a welding wire on the radiator that caused both problems. We checked everything after the first race and didn't find anything, but now we had the same problem again. During the winter tests we drove without any problems with this part and a simple change of this part is not possible''.

To make sure it doesn't happen again in Hungary, Renault will do all the welding again. A temporary solution before Renault has found the big problem. ''Poor reliability is not acceptable in such a competitive field. If you already know the problem, it's even more painful that it happens to you again'', Cyril Abiteboul is also critical.
