Formula 1 have announced that Chicago will host its Formula 1 festival on June 8, 2019, on the Saturday of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend.

Earlier on in 2019, F1 chiefs announced they'd be hosting four festivals, in Shanghai, Chicago, Los Angeles and TBC (but we know it's in Brazil).

The festivals have live demos of Formula 1 machinery and much more available.

The Shanghai festival has already happened, coinciding with the Chinese Grand Prix, and the sport's 1000th ever race. The Chicago festival has been confirmed to take place at the Soldier Field - the current home to the Bears (NFL team). This will take place on Saturday 8 June, the same day as the qualifying for the Canada GP.

Due to the dates coinciding, it's been announced that fans who attend the festival will be able to watch the qualifying session in Montreal live on a big screen.

"Following the huge success of the Shanghai festival, we are excited to be heading to Chicago - a city known to hold the most enthusiastic of sports fans," F1 managing director Sean Bratches said.

"We are looking forward to taking F1 to the US and immersing fans in the race-day atmosphere and showing the Windy City all that F1 has to offer."
