Lando Norris: "Everything is new and that is the biggest challenge"

Lando Norris will start his Formula 1 career in just a couple of months. McLaren picked up his talents early on, and last season he finished second in Formula 2 which earnt his promotion. Although he has almost moved quickly up the ranks, the Brit believes the gap between F1 and F2 is the biggest.

"Every season, I have made a step towards a new category and have driven everywhere for one year, but now there is much more you need to think about. Everything is new and I think that is the biggest challenge new jobs, new circuits," Norris told RaceFans.

Norris, 19, picked up vital information from his role with McLaren last season. He worked closely with the team and even made some practice appearances in the second half of the year. Another one of the main differences he found was on the development side.

"You never stop pushing and keep on constantly developing the car during the season, in contrast to Formula 2 and Formula 3," Norris added.
