Due to a weaker Friday, Sergio Perez had to start the sprint race from sixth place. After an exciting battle for third place, it was eventually the Mexican who was able to take advantage of this.

Perez satisfied with third place

After the sprint race, the Mexican called it a difficult race. ''We were fighting and we all obviously had a lot of degradation while following each other. At one point I also had to defend towards Charles (Leclerc) in turn 14.''

That moment worked out well for the Mexican and, as a result, he managed to get close and eventually overtake both Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz. This earned him third place in the sprint race.
