Although the Haas team finished in the points with both cars in Australia, they are far from where they want to be. Updates for the VF-24 were not planned until later in the season, but it seems like they will now arrive earlier than originally scheduled.

Things have been particularly bad at the Haas team for several years. Last season, the team finished last in the constructors' championship. This year, Haas seems to be in better shape. Thanks to the points scored in Australia, the team now sit in 7th place.

Komatsu is hopeful for improvement

After sacking the team's former team boss Guenther Steiner, the team want to move in a new direction. With the appointment of Ayao Komatsu, the team's former director of engineering, the team hopes for better performance. In an exclusive message to Haas+ members, the team boss says the team are not yet where they want to be.

However, Komatsu is hopeful updates will come earlier than planned. "Regarding the development of the Vf-24, the direction is clear. Originally, we were going to bring our first update slightly later in the season, but our aerodynamics team has been doing some solid work. So instead, we're going to bring updates earlier, which is a change for the team. We've seen encouraging signs so we now need to prove it on-track," the message said.
