Oliver Bearman will be given the chance by Haas to make six appearances during a first free practice session. In addition, the talented Briton has also been designated as the US racetrack's reserve driver along with Pietro Fittipaldi.

Bearman impressed in 2023. The Ferrari talent finished sixth in his first F2 season for Prema and won four races. In addition, Bearman made two appearances for Haas in F1, staying very close to Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen in terms of times. Those achievements have now been rewarded.

Why Haas gives chance to Bearman

Bearman is in fact Haas' new reserve driver, along with Fittipaldi. Haas also announces that Bearman will make six appearances during a VT1. Haas is obliged to do this twice, but is clearly giving Bearman an extra chance to prepare for a move to F1. In 2024, Bearman will also return to action in F2. There he will once again drive for Prema alongside the talented Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

''I am very happy to be part of the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team next season. Last year I had a great experience working with everyone at the team and I look forward to building on that this year. There are several events where I will be doing VT1s - in addition to reserve driver duties, which is exciting. I am grateful to Haas F1 Team and Scuderia Ferrari for their trust and for their support,'' Bearman revealed in the statement.

Bearman will be in action for Haas at Imola, Spain, Britain, Hungary, Mexico and Abu Dhabi during first free practice.
