Guenther Steiner has left Haas, meaning his successor, Ayao Komatsu, now has to work with drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen. Haas have been working hard to remove problems during the winter break, and the new team boss is satisfied. Komatsu thinks this car will suit Magnussen's driving style better.

"I wouldn’t say eliminated, that’s a big word," Komatsu replied to Motorsport.com's questions on whether the problems have been completely fixed. "But certainly, we have improved on it. He’s [Magnussen] a driver who needs good entry stability and consistent [handling] through a corner," the new team boss explained.

So Hulkenberg and Magnussen will have to deal with a new team boss. 2023 didn't go well for the American constructor, with the team scoring just 12 points in the constructors' championship. Komatsu talks about his relationship with both drivers.

"They both know that I’m quite straightforward. I say what I think. Not being aggressive or anything, but no bull****, it’s just that we haven’t got time to waste," explained the Japanese boss. "They know exactly where I am then, where they are, and we work well together. In terms of our strengths and weaknesses, we understand each other pretty well.  We’ve got a good open and transparent dialogue, so I’m happy with that.”
