Red Bull Racing had a very successful year in Formula 1. Max Verstappen won 19 Grands Prix, Sergio Perez two. Never before has one team won so many races in one season. Helmut Marko can hardly believe it and thanks everyone at Red Bull for their tremendous efforts. The 80-year-old Austrian predicts good chances for his team again next year.

Was this Red Bull Racing's perfect season? "Let's put it this way: we could never have imagined it. Such sovereignty, especially from Max. Whether it was raining or extremely hot, he was always in control and in control of the situation," Marko said, also citing that the framework conditions for Verstappen were of course excellent. "Of course, you also need a car like this and this team performance; we didn't have a single technical defect."

Red Bull is in good shape

The Austrian racing stable has been bizarrely consistent this year, only in Singapore did Marko's formation experience an off-weekend. As a result, it was the only Grand Prix that was not won by Red Bull. The regulations remain pretty much the same in 2024 and so another world title for Verstappen already seems imminent. At least, that is the concern expressed by Lewis Hamilton after the Abu Dhabi GP.

In terms of chassis, very little is changing and in terms of engines, performance is still not allowed to be tinkered with. Engine manufacturers are only allowed to work on reliability so a big jump from the competition on the flat is not possible. So at least Red Bull will be competing for the title again next year.

The big question, however, is whether more teams will get involved in the battle for the world championship. " It will definitely become more exciting," Marko stated to Kleine Zeitung. "But as long as nobody manages to consistently challenge us, I think we still have a good chance. Besides, we have Max at the absolute top level. He has a consistency that is almost uncanny."
