Max Verstappen showed unprecedented dominance in Formula 1 in the first half of the season. The Dutchman won 10 of the 12 races and 'only' came second in the others. Eddie Jordan sees Verstappen becoming the greatest driver of all time.

Verstappen is still young

Only 25 years old, Verstappen already stands at 45 Grand Prix victories and is fast on his way to his third world title. Since 2021, the Red Bull Racing driver has won no fewer than 35 out of 56 races, which is more than 60 per cent of the races. In the Formula For Success podcast, Jordan and David Coulthard discuss Lando Norris' position at McLaren, with the Irishman briefly digressing to Verstappen.

"First, they [McLaren] have to overcome Red Bull. And the next biggest hurdle after that is the likes of Max Verstappen, which is not going to be an easy task. I've never, we've talked about this recently. He's fast emerging to be the greatest driver of all time. I think there's no doubt about that," said the Irishman.

'What Verstappen is doing is spectacular'

A lot of fans don't like Verstappen's current dominance, but Jordan thinks this will be looked back on wonderfully later. "Or certainly what's going on at the moment is simply spectacular. He's very together. And obviously, we wish him wealth and health and everything to do with his future career. But I think in five years' time, if the good Lord spares us, we'll be saying: 'We lived through Max Verstappen. Wasn't that the most amazing years of all time?'"
