F1 and Sky Sports create special children's broadcast

The Hungarian Grand Prix will, for the first time, feature a broadcast dedicated to youth viewers. In an official statement, F1 announced that they are moving in a new direction in partnership with Sky Sports. In Hungary, Sky Sports will bring the scoop in both Britain and Germany.

A children's broadcast is a completely new concept in the world of motorsport. This new form of presentation is mainly aimed at improving the viewing experience of the new generation of Formula 1 fans. F1 media rights director Ian Holmes is looking forward to the baptism of fire for this concept: "We are very excited to share this special broadcast with our younger fans. Formula One continues to grow in popularity, and we are delighted to be able to create something with Sky Sports to bring the drama and excitement of Formula One to the next generation of fans in a new light."

Special graphics for children

The children's broadcast will include a new graphics package in addition to understandable explanations and child-friendly on-board radio messages. A series of new 3D graphics will make its entrance during the first broadcast. In addition, F1 has also designed special cartoon avatars for the 20 drivers. To further convey the report to youthful viewers, the presenting teams will also consist of youngsters for the occasion.

During the preview of the race Sunday afternoon, the audience will meet the youthful presenters for the first time. In addition to the regular preview, the special children's broadcast can be seen on Sky Sports channels in both the UK and Germany. Whether the children's broadcasts will return every race weekend is currently unknown.
