Charles Leclerc finished fourth at the Canadian Grand Prix, a result he is mostly happy with after getting knocked out in Q2 the day before. With an alternative strategy during the Safety Car, Ferrari also avoided many battles on track and got up the grid thanks to its race pace.

For a change, Leclerc left today’s race with a positive taste. "Considering where we were starting from, it was the best we could’ve done today. We did a good job. Most happy that the good feeling I had on Friday in the race sims was confirmed today. On any of the compounds we were competitive and the feeling was good. Some positives to take from this race weekend," the Ferrari driver told Sky Sports following the race.

On the other hand, Leclerc was not satisfied with missing out on the podium again, and is hungry for more. "Overall performance (where we need to gain). At the start of the season, it was very difficult to understand the consistency, we would go from the mediums which was okay, to the softs and the car would fall apart. It seems like we went in a different direction in terms of setup and I felt more at ease."

Furthermore, Leclerc was satisfied with his team’s strategy today. "I had a DRS train with Lando just in front. I felt quicker but he had the DRS to I couldn’t overtake. The right choice to do the opposite of Lando," he concluded.
