Max Verstappen won the Monaco Grand Prix, as he earned another 25 points and opened up a big gap in the championship. Indeed, his main rival, Sergio Perez, failed to score anything. The Mexican also saw Fernando Alonso move closer in the standings.

Alonso approached Perez to within 12 points. There were also important points for Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, who both grabbed top-ten results for Alpine. Ocon even made a huge jump in the championship with his podium finish.

Two drivers are also pointless after the Monaco race, namely Logan Sargeant and Nyck de Vries.
