Red Bull Racing 's team may face another penalty a day after the end of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Sergio Perez 's engineers might have exceeded the rules regarding celebrating victory.

As Perez crossed the finish line after 51 laps on Baku City Circuit, Red Bull's engineers climbed the pit lane fences. It is something of a tradition within Formula 1, but if you look at the book of regulations, it has actually been banned for as many years.

After the Australian Grand Prix, the FIA pointed this out to the teams. The governing body also reported it was going to work with sanctions. 'It is forbidden for personnel to climb the pit wall fences at any time, this is stated in Appendix H, Article 2.3.2 of the code. Any action by a team in breach of this prohibition will be reported to the stewards.'

Penalty seems most plausible

What the penalty is for violating this rule from the FIA International Sporting Code is not known. It is assumed that Red Bull will be fined. It is not expected that Perez and/or Red Bull will lose the win or have to surrender World Cup points, this because the offence had no direct impact on the course of the race.
