Following the lead of several other teams, Ferrari has now fired up its engine for the first time. The official fire-up was shared on the team's Twitter page.

While everyone's eyes were focused on the unveiling of the Red Bull car for 2023, Ferrari has also already given a sneak peek. Ferrari's car will not be shown until 14 February, but the team from Maranello has already let the engine's roar be heard.

Images are not there yet, but the sound is definitely there too. The engine was placed in the chassis for the first time and revved up in front of several people from the Ferrari organisation.

Will 2023 be better than 2022?

It will be an exciting year for Ferrari. In 2022, the Italian racing stable was able to compete at the forefront for the first time in a long time but ultimately could not compete with Max Verstappen. New team boss Fred Vasseur will have to put things in order at Ferrari. At least the first rumours are positive for Ferrari fans: this year's engine is said to have as much as 30 hp more than last season.
