Kimi Raikkonen says he has "zero interest" in discussing his future. The Finn has been rumoured to be making way for Charles Leclerc next season after the Monegasque driver has been putting in some impressive performances in 2018.

Asked in Thursday's pre-race press conference, Raikkonen spoke dismissively of rumours linking him with a return to McLaren which began circulating after the French Grand Prix.

“I spoke to them a lot in past when I was there but I have zero interest to get involved in all the nonsense in my view. You guys usually write what you decide yourselves if its true or not.

“It’s the same as always every year. I said in 2007 I think it was that I’d finish with Ferrari and then at some point it didn’t look like that and now it looks like it again. You never know what comes but we will see as always.

“I’ve been in the situation many times, we will know for sure before next year but it’s a pretty normal situation from my side. There’s a lot of talk and I don’t need to comment on those, everyone will see at some point what happens. Let’s wait and see.”

The 38-year-old has been with Ferrari since 2014, his second stint with the team after winning the drivers championship with them in 2007.

His lack of pace however in relation to teammate Sebastian Vettel has some questioning if Ferrari would be better off putting a faster driver in the second car rather than one who would play a supporting role to Vettel.
