Red Bull Racing has invested heavily in updates in recent weeks. During the Grand Prix weekend in Imola, the Austrian formation came up with a pretty big update package and that has put them ahead of Ferrari. Ferrari hopes that the money will run out at some point in Milton Keynes, but Tom Coronel believes that Red Bull will always come up with improvements.

Mattia Binotto stated that Red Bull Racing has already spent a lot of money this year, while Ferrari has kept relatively quiet in terms of updates for the time being. The Ferrari team boss said he hopes the budget ceiling will come into view at some point for Red Bull, which means they will be able to make fewer improvements than the team from Maranello in the remainder of the season.

However, Tom Coronel thinks that Red Bull has a fine budget for this season and that for the time being there will be little things added every Grand Prix on the RB18s of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. "Red Bull always has updates, small or big. There is always something that will change." When brother Tim continues by stating that the money will really run out at some point anyway, Tom replies, "They keep coming up with little things one hundred percent."

Fierce development struggle

He continues his story in the Viaplay studio during the program Track Talk."I just see that it's going to stay the same. The updates will be the same from both sides. There are two of them at this level now. It's just going to be seriously exciting."

In the battle for the world championship, much will also depend on the performance of second drivers Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez. The Coronels once again saw Sainz and Perez unable to put pressure on the drivers ahead of them. It must be said that Perez drove with less engine power because of problems with a sensor.
