The drivers had their first taste of the Miami circuit on Friday. However, Lewis Hamilton compares the circuit to a "B&Q car park" and hopes that the circuit will be improved in the future.

The Miami Grand Prix is held on a brand new circuit, so the drivers still have to get used to the layout and the new asphalt. On Friday, many drivers ended up next to the track and there were even several red flags.

Hamilton describes the circuit as "bumpy". "You think people in this day and age should be able to make a flat road relatively easy but it was fricking big bumps in so many places where the track joins up somewhere else, don’t know if they’ll be able to grind it at night and improve it, otherwise the track is quite nice to drive, except for the chicane," the seven-time world champion is quoted by Crash.net.

Hamilton not a fan of chicane

The tight chicane the seven-time world champion is talking about is located between turns 12 and 15. Hamilton even compares this section to a parking lot where he used to frequent. "It’s so tight, reminds me of being at the B&Q car park when I was six or seven years old." Hamilton hopes the chicane will be removed in the future to improve the circuit.
