Ferrari flopped hard at their home race in Imola with Carlos Sainz being eliminated on the first lap, and Charles Leclerc spinning out of he podium positions after a late-race mistake cost him dearly. Despite all this, Ferrari Boss Mattia Binotto remains in good faith.

After the Emelia Romagna Grand Prix, Mattia Binotto spoke to Sky Sports about the disasterous weekend at Ferrari's home race. Despite a struggle weekend, the Ferrari Boss kept positive.

"We are unhappy about the results of today but I think we need to keep our heads up. That is part of racing. Some races might go wrong as it has today but we still have a competitive package and need to keep the smile on." The Italian reassured.

Ferrari v Red Bull

After a start to the season where it looked that Ferrari had the fasest car, this weekend was the first real sign of Red Bull being to beat the Ferraris fair and square, finishing in a 1-2 formation.

"Certainly they [Red Bull] are strong and we know that they are developing the cars but two weeks ago we were in Australia and we had the best car. Today it is the opposite but it will be race by race with the balance shifting," Binotto stated. "Here we were second in the quali and it was on wet conditions. In the dry we had a good sprint race. Red Bull will be very strong and we will review the race today and move forward."

So far this season it has been two Ferrari victories to two Red Bull victories, which promises an exciting championship battle between the two giants of Formula 1.
