Despite Red Bull Racing 's shaky start to the season, team boss Christian Horner is confident that his team will get things back on track. Some of the hopes were pinned on the upgrades scheduled for Imola, but according to Horner, Red Bull has no intention of coming up with any major developments just then.

That is not to say that nothing at all is planned for Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. According to Horner, some "minor parts" will be available for the RB18 in Imola, but a comprehensive upgrade would not be in the cards at this time.

That has everything to do with the first sprint race of the year. "Because it's a sprint race you get very little time to evaluate these things. We have one session and then qualifying starts," the Red Bull team boss explained according to Motorsportweek.com. "You have to be very sure of what you put on the car."

Horner's words are along the same lines as those of Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto. He previously stated that Ferrari is bringing "no significant updates" to the home race in Imola because, given the sprint race, it would not be the right time, nor the right place, to experiment.
