Max Verstappen, after disappointments at Le Mans and Daytona, finally managed to win a race this weekend. At the 12 Hours of Bathurst, he and teammate Luke Bennett took first place.

Verstappen and Bennett put in an excellent race, making no mistakes. The competition had a hard time with the two and could not prevent both men to build up a lead of almost one minute. They didn't give that lead away anymore and Team Redline Orange took the victory.

The Dutchman was very enthusiastic afterwards. "It was nice to race, the car was super, just like last year despite the fact that we had a different car then," he told Verstappen.com. "Our young protégé Luke drove very solidly, which is nice to see. It's nice that together we managed to win this race for Team Redline."

Verstappen and Red Bull approach new season

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Verstappen is busy preparing for the new Formula 1 season. This week Red Bull Racing presented the new car for 2022. In terms of details, however, there are still few conclusions to be drawn, because for now the Austrian racing team is keeping them to itself.
