Hamilton's brother: "This is a disgrace to the whole sport"

Hamilton missed out on his eighth title in the final round of the last race of 2021. Instead, Max Verstappen took his first title. Hamilton's brother reacts with dismay on the performance of the FIA. According to the Briton, the race control made some questionable choices in the final phase of the race around the safety car that was caused by Mick Schumacher and Nicholas Latifi.
Hamilton posted a photo of his brother with the text: "An unforgettable season". In the caption Hamilton wrote: "The FIA broke their own rules, which is a disgrace to our whole sport. Nevertheless, regardless of being mistreated today, the Hamilton’s were humble in defeat."

According to the Mercedes driver's brother, it is in the family's DNA to prove people wrong. His brother does that every day and his father showed what it means to be a Hamilton by going straight to the winning side - Jos and Max Verstappen - and congratulating them.
Nicolas followed his father and ended his message with congratulations to Verstappen: "Congratulations to Max for such a fantastic season from him." Verstappen defeated Hamilton with eight points difference in the championship. The Dutchman picked up two more wins than his rival and stood on the podium once more than the Brit.
