Tobia Elia

A lifelong Formula 1 enthusiast, he had a clear objective from the very beginning: to turn his passion for the sport into a career in journalism. He took his first steps in 2022, entering the world of motorsport media and quickly establishing himself through dedication, consistency, and a strong editorial instinct.

In parallel with the start of his professional journey, he pursued a degree in International Communication at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences. This academic path allowed him to develop a solid theoretical foundation in communication, media, and international storytelling, while simultaneously applying those principles in a real-world, high-pressure environment. The combination of study and hands-on experience proved invaluable, enabling him to refine his writing style, analytical approach, and understanding of audience engagement in a truly practical way.

Over the course of nearly three years, he steadily progressed to become one of the leading writers within his editorial team. During this time, he strengthened his reporting and analytical skills while gaining significant trackside experience, covering Grands Prix from within the paddock at venues such as Imola, Budapest, Zandvoort, Monaco, Monza, and Spa-Francorchamps. Reporting directly from the circuit provided him with first-hand exposure to the fast-moving nature of Formula 1 media and reinforced the importance of delivering timely, accurate, and insightful coverage.

In May 2025, he joined the UK editorial team of GPblog, marking a key step forward in his career. There, he continued to grow into one of the main contributors, taking on a wide range of responsibilities across the newsroom. In addition to handling day-to-day and breaking news coverage, he produces live session reports, in-depth analyses, feature stories, and opinion pieces, further demonstrating his versatility and editorial range. Writing in fluent, native-level English for a global audience, he has expanded his reach while adapting to the expectations of an international readership, consolidating his position as a reliable and well-rounded voice in Formula 1 journalism.
