The Belgian Grand Prix in 2020 will not be open to the public because of the coronavirus. Nevertheless, a number of Dutch people took the gamble to see Max Verstappen in action on Friday.

Severe fine

According to the Algemeen Dagblad, the federal police of Belgium had to send a bus back from the Netherlands. The bus was full of Max Verstappen fans. As with each of the previous six Grands Prix, no fans are allowed to be present during this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix.

The Dutch people who did try to be present during the Friday of the Belgian GP were sent back home with a fine of €350. The Grand Prix in the Belgian Ardennes has been visited en masse by the Dutch in recent years.
