Jean-Eric Vergne has taken pole position for the second Formula E race in Rome. Before that, he settled with Jake Dennis in the final.

Vergne takes pole for second E-prix Rome

Vergne got the better of Frijns in the quarter-finals of qualifying, who started from sixth position. Vergne then trumped Andre Lotterer in the semifinals, before competing in the final with Dennis, who in turn had beaten Mitch Evans in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile Nyck de Vries had to settle for the thirteenth starting position. De Vries already dropped out in the group stage, which initially earned him tenth place. However, he received a three-place grid penalty for causing a collision in the race on Saturday and will therefore have to start the second race from P13.

The second E-prix of Rome starts at 14:00.
