If it's a one-year contract for Lewis, and he wins his 8th WDC, then for sure GR will take his seat in 2022. Perhaps Bottas stays. I can't see Lewis would allow Russell to be his teammate in 2022, despite that he wants more competition. In my mind, Russell, despite his inexperience, is very likely Hamiltons match behind the wheel... But what I really like about Russell, is he is second to no one before the camera. He's a very bright and well-spoken man that will inspire many new fans to F1. I can't see how Hamiltons 'this is for the kids' talk can match... With all due respect to Hamilton who has done a very fine job in his career (with the fastest engine and top team).
