Grojean was led to react both to tyre damage & racing gap, he did nothing wrong. In fact if you carefully watch he tried to counter steer several times out to regain the correct race position. Unfortunately the car does not respond, more evident on overhead shots. Then he connected & there was nothing he could do with the failing situation. The halo saved his life, also by probably splitting & deflecting the rear half. I think fuel lines spewing added to fire. Thank godz he was aware. All merit to the fire marshal & medics.
