Richard Verschoor and Van Amersfoort Racing parted ways after the past Formula 2 season. Meanwhile, the Dutch racing team has found a replacement in the person of Enzo Fittipaldi.

This will be Fittipaldi's third season in Formula 2. "I am very excited to be part of Van Amersfoort Racing," said the Brazilian. "The team and I had a positive first experience during the F2 post-season test in Abu Dhabi last week. I am already looking forward to next season, which will be a new challenge for everyone. Racing in the new 2024 F2 cars will be exciting and I am confident that the team and I will have a great season together."

Frits van Amersfoort, team boss of Van Amersfoort Racing, delighted with the recruitment of Fittipaldi. "During the post-season F2 test, we found that Enzo is a great person to work with. He fits our team perfectly and his experience in F2 will come in handy as we enter a new era in Formula 2. We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to the upcoming season together."

Fittipaldi took his first F2 victory in 2023 and stood on the podium five times. The 22-year-old driver was part of the Red Bull junior programme last year, but Helmut Marko is unlikely to have room for him in the training programme in 2024.
