Verstappen reveals: 'They have the best drivers of all those F1 teams'

Along with Red Bull Racing, Max Verstappen remains the dominant force in Formula 1 for now, but behind him, the field is clearly closing in. Who does the three-time world champion see as his next rival at the moment?

Behind Red Bull, an exciting battle is currently taking place between McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari. Aston Martin currently still occupies fourth place in the championship, but is in danger of losing it to the team from Woking. "McLaren is making great steps forward throughout the whole year," said Verstappen.

"I do think that as a team, they are probably the most consistent compared to the others behind us. I do think they have the best driver line-up out of all of them. They are operating really well. It's going to be interesting to the end of the year, but also I think at the start of next year, to see where everyone is at," he adds.

He does stress that Red Bull has been shifting its focus to 2024 for a while now. "From our side, we will try to improve maybe a little bit this year, but of course mainly for next year," Verstappen concludes.
