Once again at Suzuka, it was Max Verstappen who took the victory by force. Things went a lot less well for the Austrian racing stable in Singapore, but the team, or rather Verstappen recovered in the land of the rising sun. Team manager Jonathan Wheatley and team boss Christian Horner praise the team they work for.

Wheatley on the incident with Perez and his Red Bull team

Wheatley on the Perez incident: "You have that hanging over you, the penalty, so the stewards can decide to give you a grid place penalty at the next event," Wheatley told the F1 Nation podcast. " So you really have no choice but to get the car back together if you can, serve the penalty this race, and then you don't have to serve it again the next one," the team manager continues.

The team manager also enjoys his team in which he works: "When you have a season like this, everyone raises their game, and then it's incredible, and it's a joy to work in a team like this," he leaves on record. Team boss Horner couldn't agree more. Does the Briton think this is the best Red Bull Racing he has ever seen? " Undoubtedly," he says.

Horner praises his colleagues

"I think the way the team's operating at this point in time, I think across the whole team, you need everything to be working in unison and there to be the right spirit, the right culture, and of course the one common thing that we have is everybody's invested in the car and that is the result," Horner concluded.

So in Japan, Red Bull Racing managed to become constructors' champion, but at the weekend in Qatar, Verstappen could win the world title himself. It would be his third world title in a row. As early as Saturday, the Dutchman can put an end to the doubts, which were, after all, only scanty at the beginning of the season.
