Romain Grosjean has enjoyed an up and down career in Formula One. From a race ban back in 2012 for his first corner chaos at Spa-Francorchamps back in 2012 to fighting for race wins with Lotus the next season, Grosjean says he is happy with his time in F1 to this point.

Looking back on his career, the Frenchman admitted that although luck could have helped his career, he wasn't too dissatisfied with how his career had gone since joining the sport back in 2009 with Renault.

"There’s things looking back that could have been different. You could have forced your luck in some places," he is quoted by Racefans.net

"I’m not too unhappy with my career so far and I still believe that I can be in Formula 1 for quite a bit of time. I don’t feel old.

"Who knows what’s happening in 2021. No one wants to sign a contract beyond the end of 2020. So let’s see what Formula One is becoming like and if there is any change.

"Right now I feel like I’m in a good team. Very proud of what we’ve been doing the last two-and-a-half years. I think we’ve got some more business to do together."

Grosjean endured a difficult start to 2018, bad luck in Melbourne due to a pit stop problem for the team followed by underperformances meant that his teammate Kevin Magnussen has been the staring driver at Haas this season but that hasn't stopped Grosjean in his tracks.

A season-best finish in Austria of fourth place, ahead of his Danish teammate, looks to have revitalised the French driver's season. Haas' performance level rising once again with the Ferrari power unit upgrade which has arguably put it ahead of Mercedes' customers.
