Max Verstappen arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday evening. The reigning world champion skipped the press conference for the Grand Prix in Jeddah due to illness, but already indicated he would get in the car on Friday.

Verstappen had been affected by a stomach flu virus, which made him decide to postpone his flight to Saudi Arabia for a day. The Red Bull Racing driver has indicated that he is already feeling a lot better, leading to him boarding the plane on Thursday. Flight details show that Verstappen's private jet has now arrived in Saudi Arabia.

News of the ailing Verstappen was soon good for wild speculation about a possible replacement, should the Dutchman be unable to get into the RB19 himself at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. However, that does not seem to be the case, so we are expected to see the two-time world champion in action as normal during the second Formula 1 weekend of the season.
