FIA continues internal changes and announces new Director of Communications

Luke Skipper will become the new Director of Communications and Public Affairs of the FIA, the organisation announced on its official website. The Canadian worked for the second largest communications agency for seven years. Skipper has also previously worked at the Scottish Parliament and the European Parliament.

Skipper will join the organisation on 7 October as a professional with no less than seventeen years' experience in the field of communications and a career as a politician. Skipper will report to the CEO of the FIA, a new role within the organisation. He will also lead a growing team within the Sport and Communications Division to develop a communications strategy to ensure the FIA becomes the global voice of motorsport and mobility.

"This is a pivotal moment for the FIA as we bring our public affairs and communications functions together. Luke will be joining our team in this newly created role where he will help deliver our ambitious manifesto of growth and reform. His insight and experience will be a valued asset to our members and the Federation", writes FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem on the website.

"I am thrilled to be joining the FIA at such an exciting time for motor sport and mobility. I am looking forward to working with the President, Clubs, and all stakeholders to deliver a communications and public affairs strategy that drives the Federation forward in an inclusive and sustainable way", adds Skipper.
