The Formula One drivers need not worry about rain this weekend. It is unlikely to rain at the French Grand Prix. It will, however, be very hot at the Paul Ricard circuit.

Earlier this week the forecast for the French GP was already favourable and on Friday morning it looks even better. On Friday, according to Weather.com it will be 34 degrees maximum and it will be completely sunny. The chance of rain is zero and there is a light wind in Le Castellet.

Sun over Paul Ricard

The weather will remain the same for the rest of the weekend. Saturday will be partly cloudy and the chance of rain will increase slightly to eight percent, but the temperature will remain 34 degrees. The tarmac temperature will therefore not drop very much. On Sunday it is sunny again, 34 degrees maximum and the chance of rain drops again to three percent.

The warm temperatures will have a different impact on the race weekend than the rain we have seen a lot in the last few races. Now grip will increase throughout the weekend, but tyre wear from the heat will also play an important role.
