Verstappen keeps attention: 'They look really good'

The Formula 1 season is getting closer and closer, slowly making Max Verstappen itch. The Dutchman is keen to defend his world title from last year, although he is seriously considering more competition.

Last season Verstappen was in a tough competition with Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion was on a par with Verstappen in terms of points prior to the last race in Abu Dhabi, but ultimately lost out to his rival.

Verstappen impressed by Ferrari

While the reigning world champion expects Hamilton to fight for the world title again, he also has high hopes for Ferrari. Verstappen believes that the Italian team has built a strong car in recent months that could well see them competing to win the world championship.

"They look really good," Verstappen remarked in conversation with De Telegraaf. "They also started developing these cars early last year and are off to a strong start. Of course it's especially important to improve during the season, but it's nice when you're competitive right at the start of the year."
