Perez confident in 2022: "We can take some good steps"

Sergio Perez has left an excellent feeling from the test days in Barcelona. The Mexican feels that Red Bull Racing is on track to enter the new season well, although there is no room to sit back.

The teammate of Max Verstappen hopes to compete for the world title next season. Perez still needs to develop, because last year he came up short. Despite the difference from last year he is confident in his qualities and those of the RB18.

Perez confident for 2022

Perez stated in a press release that Red Bull Racing has a good base and a lot of potential. "It's still early, of course, but I'm hopeful that we can make some good moves before Bahrain," the Mexican explained.

The Red Bull Racing driver believes that the team can continue to make progress with all the information it has taken from Barcelona. In addition, he continues to develop his own driving style with a view to the new Formula 1 cars for 2022.

"It is important to keep learning from my driving style and the way I adapt to the car and my team, after which we can see what is the best way to maximize that," he notes. According to Perez, the big challenge in view of the new regulations is in getting the most out of the whole weekend.
