Romain Grosjean will get the chance to drive Lewis Hamilton's 2019 F1 Championship winning car next month. Following Grosjean's heavy crash in Bahrain last season, Mercedes offered Grosjean the opportunity and Hamilton looking forward to welcoming the former Haas driver to the team.

French Grand Prix

The one-off test will happen on the 29th June, a couple of days after the conclusion of the French Grand Prix. Grosjean will be apart of the Mercedes team during that weekend.

"I'm really happy to see Romain back in an F1 car after his accident last year. When it happened, we were all praying for him and seeing him walk away from it and recover so well was a massive relief," Hamilton said.

"I'm looking forward to seeing him again in France and welcoming him to the team for the weekend - although he better look after my W10!"
