Another day in the world of motorsport comes to a close and on a day where Ferrari locked out a one-two in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix, the risks involved with racing were far too apparent.
Hamilton crashes out of FP3
The day started off in dramatic fashion as Lewis Hamilton crashed out of FP3. Hamilton lost control of his car at turn 12, sliding off into the barrier and causing some serious damage to his Silver Arrow. The Brits crash brought out the red flag for around 25 minutes as the car was recovered and drivers could return to track. The Mercedes team faced a race against time to get Lewis' car ready for qualifying.
As has every session this weekend, Ferrari dominated locking out another one-two with Charles Leclerc on top followed by Sebastian Vettel. Daniel Ricciardo was well placed to earn P4 in the final session before qualifying as Alex Albon brought up the rear for Red Bull.
