Szafnauer believes it's time for SportPesa Racing Point to "harvest" points

SportPesa Racing Point arrived in Germany and Hungary with significant upgrades. Lance Stroll nearly found himself on the podium in Germany after a chaotic wet race, but no points were scored a week later.

Team boss Otmar Szadnauer wants his drivers to start "harvesting" the points and score in every race. He expects the hard work to start producing good results for the remainder of the 2019 Formula season.

"We have been busy sowing our seeds in recent months and now it is time to harvest. "We have done a lot of work in the field of aerodynamics and we expect to see results in the coming races," Szafnauer told Speedweek.

“We are sure that we will be a lot stronger in the second half of 2019. We are going to make up for our backlog by scoring points in all Grands Prix."

The midfield battle is still tight. While McLaren are some way in the distance, just 17 points separate the next five teams. Any kind of points finish from Sergio Perez or Stroll will come in handy.
