Ticktum unsure of next Red Bull test opportunity

Dan Ticktum says he doesn't know when he will get to test with Red Bull again after driving for the team during the post-race Bahrain tests.

Ticktum, who is the next highly-rated youngster in the Red Bull junior programme, was expected to make the move to Formula 1 this season however failed to secure enough super license points having lost the European Formula 3 championship to Mick Schumacher.

The Briton also tried a last ditch effort to earn enough points by competing in the Asian Winter F3 series but would pull out ahead of the final round after struggling to eighth position in the standings.

After testing for the main Red Bull team in Bahrain, Ticktum admitted he didn't know when his next chance in an F1 car would be.

“At the moment nothing is confirmed. I will continue to do what I am told and do my job well. I hope I get another opportunity," he said.

“I want to believe that I worked well enough this week to continue the cooperation, but at the moment nothing is confirmed.”
