One more hour of practice before all drivers show the F1 cars at full power for the first time in 2023 at the same time. VT3 is not a very representative session in terms of weather conditions, so it will be interesting to see what the teams will do.
Saving forces for qualifying in VT3?
Based on the F1 winter tests and the first free practice sessions that took place in Bahrain on Friday, it seems that Red Bull Racing is the favourite. Verstappen was just not the fastest. It was Fernando Alonso, who seems to have been on the Red Bulls' heels all test days in Bahrain, who was fastest in Friday's final session. Also looking at the longruns, the Spaniard's Aston Martin looks steady. In the final hour of practice, caution is perhaps most important. The session is not very representative and a car without damage and as many sets of unused tyres as possible for qualifying and for the race are particularly useful.
