Australian GP start: Hamilton attacks Red Bull, Sainz falls backwards

Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen both got off the line well and held their positions in the Australian Grand Prix. Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez came under attack from Lewis Hamilton with the Brit getting ahead at the first corner. George Russell moved ahead of Lando Norris. But it was a disaster for Carlos Sainz who dropped down the field on cold hard tyres. He eventually ended up in the gravel. 

Race continues 

The safety car came out to recover Carlos Sainz's car. The race resumes with over 40 laps remaining in Melbourne.
