The Nissan Formula E team travels to the 'Rookie test' in Berlin. The team is taking Formula 2 talent Victor Martins to the German capital. This will give him a stage to show his skills behind the wheel. Could he also be mature enough for Formula 1?

Martins, who has already managed two podium finishes in F2 this season, along with Red Bull junior Zane Maloney, is the only driver from F2 on the participants list for the test in Berlin. " It is a huge honour to be selected for the rookie test with Nissan's Formula E team," Martins said in a Nissan press release.

Ready for Formula 1?

Nissan Formula E team boss Tommaso Volpe explained that giving the Frenchman a chance was not higher maths. "It's great for the championship to attract rising stars like him. He is making his F2 debut this year and is showing strong signs, so it was a natural choice for us to give him a chance in the Nissan."

Martins is making great strides and may already be ready for a move towards the king class of motorsport. The coming races will be important for him to know if he can put himself in the spotlight.
