All Formula 1 teams based in the United Kingdom will have to close their doors on Wednesday. This is due to the decision of the British government to put the country in a 'lockdown'.

The majority of the constructors are actually based in the UK. Mercedes, Red Bull Racing, McLaren, Renault, Racing Point and Williams all have their respective headquarters in the Midlands in England

Three of these teams (Red Bull, McLaren and Williams) have confirmed that from Wednesday they will close their factories, RaceFans.net report. Operations should continue on April 15th as it stands, although the impact of the coronavirus could mean a further delay.

On Monday evening, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that people will no longer be allowed out of the house unless necessary, and he ordered citizens to work from home if possible. These measures will be in force for the next three weeks.

The other three teams - Haas, Ferrari and AlphaTauri - had already closed their respective factories.
