George Russell predicts "challenging weekend" in Mexico

George Russell says that most of the field will have a tough time of it this weekend at the Mexican Grand Prix as the altitude of the circuit will make it a unique challenge for both teams and drivers. Russell has never driven at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez before, but says he is ready to take on the challenge the circuit provides.

Russell is the only driver in the field who hasn't scored a point yet, but despite this, he's had a very solid debut season in F1, outperforming teammate Robert Kubica at most tracks and nearly making Q2 in Hungary in a very uncompetitive Williams.

The 21-year old said: "I think Mexico will be a challenging weekend for everybody due to the altitude of the circuit, but also the heat.

"It will be an interesting weekend for myself; it's a track that I have never driven, and I always love driving new circuits. I am looking forward to the challenge and excited to go racing again."
