Max Verstappen was the first of three drivers to have incidents during Friday's FP2 incident in Austria. Verstappen, who won last year's Austrian Grand Prix, lost control of the rear and he went into the wall. Red Bull was unable to get the car back out for the end of the session.
In conversation with Sky Sports, Verstappen tried to explain what went wrong.
"I was already complaining about the wind being tricky and then I got in the corner and the rear turned around. The cars, in general, are really sensitive to the wind and crashes can happen," Verstappen said.
Verstappen might need to rely on Pierre Gasly to give him the data from the long runs, however, the 21-year-old feels confident enough from the laps he did earlier in the day.
"In general, I was happy with the car and that's what I focused on. I don't know if I can get on the second row yet, we'll see," Verstappen added.
