Kevin Magnussen has had a tough start to the season in his Haas VF-24. The Dane has scored just one point this season, crashed out of the last grand prix in Miami and has the most penalty points of all the drivers on the grid. Magnussen had another bad day at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. During qualifying, Oscar Piastri impeded him, leaving Magnussen in 18th place. It's no surprise, then, that the former McLaren driver was frustrated with Oscar Piastri after the session.

Magnussen said in the paddock after qualifying: "It was double annoying. It's the fourth or fifth time this year that we have traffic in qualifying on the lap that counts. I don't think we're doing anything different to everyone else in terms of timings or leaving the pit. I think it's just bad luck, but by now it sounds like a bad excuse. So, I just have to be patient and hope for it to stop soon because it's really having a big effect on my season."

Is Magnussen under pressure?

His teammate, Nico Hulkenberg, made Q3 once again. The Haas driver, who is still yet to have signed a contract for next year, continued. "We seem to be leaving the pits in a normal way. We're not doing anything different. So the fact that we're just getting it so many times this year, it's just odd and unlucky. But, It just seems like a bad excuse, I don't want to say it's unlucky. There's got to be something that we can do about it.

"It seems like we always run into the guy who's not doing the same as everyone else. Then I catch him in a bad spot on track. It's just been too many times this year."

Haas VF-24 working well in Imola

"I was really happy with the car. Yesterday, FP2, I didn't like it so much. I made some fairly big changes for today in FP3, and I really liked the car. So I was in front of Nico in both the first and the second lap. With the track evolution, I think that went our way with the limitations we have."

The Dane felt comfortable in his Haas and will be hoping for a better day tomorrow in Imola.
