Fireworks were predicted during the team bosses' press conference, where Toto Wolff and Christian Horner were said to be side by side. They didn't disappoint, although the team bosses kept it fairly clean. As expected, though, there were a few stinging words exchanged back and forth.

Asked why Mercedes felt it necessary to request a so-called 'Right to Review', Wolff admits he doesn't expect much from it. "That's normal in such an intense battle as now. The smallest margins can make a difference at the end," he told Sky Sports and others.

"That works both ways, by the way, because Max has also lost points in crashes through no fault of his own. To be honest, we don't expect much from Right to Review. It's more a matter of principle," the Mercedes team boss continued.

"That's why we don't really gain anything from it, because in that case the driver on the inside has full control of the corner. That would mean overtaking on the outside becomes impossible," Wolff concluded.
