The first Friday in Zandvoort is over. Ferrari was dominant during the second free practice on Friday and finished with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in first and second place. Verstappen had to settle for P5, while Hamilton finished after just five minutes.
The Brit had a problem with the power unit. It was not the only red flag during practice, as Nikita Mazepin also caused one. Thanks to these two interruptions, Verstappen was unable to complete his fast lap.
Bottas slightly faster than Verstappen
But Verstappen was fastest on the soft tyre. That means in any case that the speed is good for the Dutchman. Bottas however was a bit faster than Verstappen, by more than one tenth.
